Your Fireplace Concerns Answered!

Questions like, how much energy/electricity do they use? Will it make me pay more? Is it safer than an average fireplace? What makes it different from other types?

These questions are easy to ask as electric fireplaces are starting to become a game changer.

We are seeing many things now converting to electric and fireplaces are now one of them. Surprisingly electric fireplaces may not be as expensive as you thought it would be because based on the national average kilowatt-hour (kWh) rate of 12 cents, a 1,500-watt electric fireplace will cost around 18 cents per hour with all settings at maximum. This could potentially cut what you are paying for a non electric fireplace as you may have to buy firewood every other 4-5 days if in cold areas.

The safety of the fireplace all depends on you. With any fireplace it is known to be careful and to always turn it off when you are done using it. The same would go with an electric fireplace as it is still fire and could potentially be a hazard if being un-responsible. So always be mindful of what you are dealing with. You may not have to worry as long as you are being smart and proper.

The difference between electric and your average fireplace is the look. Electric fireplaces give off a unique & modern feel. Rather than your classic fireplace. You will definitely get many compliments and have many heads turning for your electric fireplace. It is also energy efficient, electric fireplaces are also less expensive in installation and running costs than either a wood fireplace or a gas fireplace.

Overall, Electric is great for households and gives off a very sleek and beautiful look. If you are considering it, I highly suggest you get one whenever possible. It doesn't just look nice, it also helps you and your family out in the long run.
